Bridgestone's MotoGP development analysis was used to determine the placement of new 3-D tread channels to enhance stability, grip, and maneuverability by optimizing block stiffness. Specially formulated rubber compounds provide secure grip and increased durability. The rear profile allows for a larger contact patch for improved grip in lean angles. The cap and base on the rear tire add tread rigidity for stability during braking and acceleration. The rear tire features a more lateral sidewall construction for better cushioning to enhance handling. The rear is lighter than the BT-003RS to reduce gyroscopic effect for better maneuverability. "W" - for speeds up to 270+ km/h (168+ mph).
